🎬 Community Cinema Returns This Summer!
We’re thrilled to announce that community cinema is back at the Hippodrome — even while our Raise The Roof construction project is in full swing! Thanks to the support of Todmorden Town Council and our amazing volunteers, we’re bringing films back to the big screen this August — and they’re completely free to attend!

Friday 9th August
🕚 11am – The Wild Robot
A heartwarming animated adventure for the whole family.
🕑 2pm – Summer Holiday (Relaxed Screening)
What’s summer without Cliff Richard? Join us for this feel-good classic, in partnership with Dementia Friendly Todmorden. The lights stay low, everyone’s welcome, and singalongs are encouraged!
Friday 16th August
🕚 11am – Trolls Band Together
A colourful, musical treat for kids (and kids at heart!).
🕑 2pm – Mamma Mia! The Movie (Relaxed Screening)
Dancing queens and ABBA fans, this one’s for you! Another relaxed screening with Dementia Friendly Todmorden, perfect for singing along and enjoying in a comfortable, inclusive setting.

These film events are completely free of charge, made possible by a generous grant from Todmorden Town Council and the hard work of our incredible team of volunteers and Dementia Friendly Todmorden. We couldn’t do it without our amazing community— thank you!

No need to book – seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

Doors open 30 minutes before each film.

Films start at the advertised time – there are no trailers.

Refreshments available to buy, or feel free to bring your own snacks!
🪑 Due to ongoing building work, seating is limited to the stalls only (circle not in use).
🚻 Toilets are up a flight of stairs, but an accessible mobile toilet will be available.
