Welcome to the UK's largest community owned theatre
Thank you to everyone who attended the free community films during the October half term. We hope you all had ghoulishly good time. Thank you also to all those who were able to make a donation - your support will enable the Hippodrome to continue showing films locally and accessibly to the community. If you would like to donate at any time please use the link below.
Free Films for All!
Thanks to the generosity of our community, films at the Hippodrome are always free. However, each film licence costs us between £120 and £170, so we kindly welcome donations to help keep our cinema accessible for everyone. Every little bit makes a difference!
Support our free community cinema
We understand that times are tough for many, which is why we’re committed to keeping our film screenings completely free. Whether you're a family looking for an affordable day out or someone seeking company and a shared love of film, our cinema is here for everyone. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and enjoy the magic of the movies at no cost.
If you’re in a position to help, your voluntary donation can make a real difference. Contributions go directly towards covering the costs of film licences and maintaining this vital community project. Every donation, big or small, helps ensure our screenings remain free and accessible for all.
You can support our cinema by donating through our LocalGiving page using the link below. Together, we can keep the joy of cinema alive in Todmorden for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you for being part of our community and supporting this wonderful initiative!
Accessibility
If you need a wheelchair or carer space, or any other access needs, please contact us in advance using the form opposite or via cinema@todhip.org. We’ll try to make sure your visit is as smooth as possible.
