TAODS is delighted to announce our September production of Growth by Luke Norris.
Growth is a dark comedy about growing up and coming to terms with the pressures of life as a young man in the 21st Century. Tobes is a self absorbed twenty-something who drifts through life in a dead end job at a garden centre, can hardly make a living, and has been dumped (again) by his girlfriend. To make matters worse is the realisation that the lump he has been ignoring on his testicles for the last two years may be about to be the wake up call he wasn't expecting... It's a real ball ache!
We are thrilled to announce the cast line-up. Celebrated for its raw honesty and compelling humor, "Growth" is a must-see theatrical experience that promises both great laughs and profound insights into the human condition.
Lewis Edwards stars as Tobes, leading an ensemble cast of nine talented actors: Michael Crowley, Sam Garforth, Timothy Greenwood, Bill Joyce, Alice King, Abi Lally, Iain Mackness, Louise Parrish, and Katie Walker.
Meet the director! We're excited to have Matt Parker back at the helm for the first time since 2021, directing this darkly funny play. Matt has been involved with the Hippodrome for some 20 years now and appeared in and directed many plays: too numerous to mention! As well as taking on Growth, Matt is also a regular facilitator for local Andy's Man Clubs and would like to share the mantra, "it's okay to talk".
