A summer concert with a little piece of Todmorden history...
This July, Todmorden Choral Society will perform on the Hippodrome stage for the very first time since the choir was founded in 1914!
A Fundraising Concert by Todmorden Choral Society
Join us for a delightful summer afternoon of music as the Todmorden Choral Society presents Summer and the Seaside at the Todmorden Hippodrome Theatre.
The event is a joint fundraiser supporting both the Choral Society and the Hippodrome Theatre, helping to sustain two organisations that have enriched Todmorden's cultural life for generations.
The programme celebrates the joys of summer with a selection of well-loved music, including excerpts from Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan, alongside favourites such as Blaydon Races and I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside.
Under the direction of Antony Brannick, with accompaniment by Simon Watkins, audiences can look forward to an uplifting and entertaining afternoon filled with music, nostalgia and community spirit.
Whether you're a long-standing supporter of the Choral Society, a lover of choral music, or simply looking for an enjoyable summer event, this promises to be a memorable occasion.
Doors open 3.30pm with the show starting promptly at 4.00pm with one interval.
