We’re opening the doors for a series of free guided tours of the Hippodrome Theatre – a rare opportunity to explore areas the public don’t usually get to see, during the transformation taking place as part of our ambitious Raise The Roof Project.

What’s included?

Your guided tour will take you on a journey through:

• The historic stalls

• Beneath the stage in the fascinating under-stage area

• Right on stage where generations of performers have stood

• Up to the circle

• Along the newest bit of the theatre, our Blue Corridor

You’ll hear stories from our volunteers about the theatre’s rich history, its remarkable survival, and the exciting future we’re building right now. With construction underway, this is a unique chance to see behind the curtain while our Raise The Roof Project reshapes the building for the next 100 years.
