A Celebration of 16 Years of Musical Theatre at the Hippodrome.
Join us for a very special fundraising cabaret as we celebrate 16 incredible years of musicals performed by the adult members of Todmorden Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society at the Hippodrome Theatre.
Over the past 16 years, we've staged some truly wonderful productions, marking an exciting chapter in the theatre's history as we moved to creating our shows entirely with our own talented volunteer production teams. From spectacular staging to unforgettable performances, there's been plenty to celebrate, and now we're bringing some of our favourite musical moments together for two very special evenings.
Featuring much-loved numbers from shows including West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweet Charity, Sunshine on Leith and Shrek, along with plenty of other favourites, This Is Our Story promises an evening packed with wonderful music, memories and a few surprises!
The event also marks a very special farewell as Helen Clarkson takes up the baton as Musical Director for TAODS for the final time, before she and her husband Steve move on to new adventures.

To make the occasion even more special, Rachel Rogers and Emma Cook will be joining Helen as the three come together to produce a show one last time. It's a fitting reunion of a creative team who have shared so much of the Hippodrome's musical journey and helped bring some wonderful productions to our stage.
Helen's association with the Hippodrome as Musical Director began back in 1993 with the Youth Theatre, and over the years she has had the privilege of working with some fabulous musicians and wonderful casts. It's been a huge part of her life, and she's enjoyed every minute of making music with them. Afterall, what would a Hippodrome musical be without our live orchestra? If you've enjoyed our productions over the years, you'll know just how much we love our musicians, affectionately known as the legendary Hippodrome Pit Band! This is your chance to hear them perform under Helen's baton one last time.
As well as celebrating our musical history, these performances will help raise vital funds for our ongoing Raise the Roof project, supporting the future of the theatre and helping us create even more wonderful memories for generations to come.Whether you've been part of our journey, enjoyed our productions from the auditorium or simply love a great night of musical theatre, we'd love you to join us for this celebration of everything that makes the Hippodrome so special.
Friday 5th & Saturday 6th February 2027 - 7.30pm
Come and celebrate our story, enjoy some fantastic music and help us write the next chapter in the Hippodrome's history!
